JOHNSON JACKSON SHAREHOLDER KEVIN JOHNSON NAMED ‘LAWYER OF THE YEAR,’ RECOGNIZED AMONG THE FIRM’S ATTORNEYS LISTED IN 2022 BEST LAWYERS IN AMERICA©

TAMPA, FL – Labor and employment law firm Johnson Jackson PLLC  today announced that its Shareholder, Kevin Johnson, has been selected for inclusion in the 28^th Edition of The Best Lawyers in America^©.  Johnson has been named 2022 “Lawyer of the Year” in the category of Employment Law – Management in the Tampa area by the publication, an exceptional distinction awarded annually to only one lawyer per practice area in each geographical region.  Johnson is one of fewer than 5,900 lawyers across the United States to receive the honor this year.

Additionally, Shareholders Kevin Johnson and Erin Jackson have been selected for inclusion in the 28^th Edition of The Best Lawyers in America^©.  This marks the 14^th consecutive year that Johnson has earned recognition in Best Lawyers, as well as the 8^th consecutive year for Jackson. 

Among other honors for the firm this year, Partner Christopher Johnson was named to the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America list.  The Ones to Watch list, now in its 2^nd Edition, provides recognition for top legal talent in the industry among newer lawyers. 

Lawyers appearing on both the Ones to Watch and Best Lawyers in America^© lists are selected by peer review surveys in which tens of thousands of leading lawyers confidentially evaluate their professional peers.  Once a lawyer is included on the list, they must receive enough votes in subsequent years to remain in each edition.

The Best Lawyers in America^© was first published in 1983 and has since earned the respect of the legal industry, the media, and the public as the standard for unbiased excellence within the profession.  This year’s Edition includes nearly 67,000 lawyers, or approximately 5% of practicing lawyers across the United States and the District of Columbia, in 147 different practice areas.  Lawyers are not permitted to pay any fee to participate in or be recognized by Best Lawyers.  Inclusion in this year’s publication is based on more than 10 million detailed evaluations.
